What is High Focus Training?

High Focus Training is a fitness program for the “everyday athlete”. Our aim is to give athletes structure to their training to help them work towards their fitness goals.

At High Focus Training our programmes are broken down into four main focuses:

Aerobic, Gymnastics, Strength and Weightlifting

Each focus provides a safe and well-balanced programme suitable for all levels and abilities. Whether you consider yourself as an advanced, intermediate or beginner athlete, our focuses cater for all levels of fitness.

Our overall goal at High Focus Training is longevity. We believe picking the right focus and working towards your goals, will keep you on the path to success. Which will keep you in a positive mindset, with a clear direction and purpose.     

What is your focus?

Find the perfect sessions for you. Choose from the below:

The ability to sustain a specific activity for a prolonged period of time.

Example Programme:

Session 1: Run day

Session 2: Row day

Session 3: Bike day

Equipment needed:

Rowing machine + bike

Physical exercises designed to develop strength and coordination.

Example Programme:

Session 1: Pull day

Session 2: Press day

Session 3: Midline day

Equipment needed:

Pull-up bar, dumbbells, gymnastic rings, plyo-box

*There will be no kit alternatives - great for home workouts

The ability to carry out work against a resistance. Strength is the maximal force you apply against a load.

Example Programme:

Session 1: Squat day

Session 2: Pull day

Session 3: Press day

Equipment needed:

Barbell + weights, dumbbells, kettlebells, plyo box

The sport or activity of lifting a barbell or heavy weights.

Session 1: Snatch day

Session 2: Clean + jerk day

Session 3: Kettlebell flow

Equipment needed:

Barbell and weights, kettlebells, plyo box

High intensity training designed to increase metabolic demand and increase energy usage

Session 1: EMOM day - Every min, on the min 

Session 2: AMRAP day - As many rounds as possible

Session 3: For time: Complete rounds given as fast as possible

Equipment needed:

Dumbbells, kettlebells, plyo box

Who are we?

High Focus Training was brought to life with the idea that your fitness should be built around your goals.

Your goals, your focus, your achievements.

Our founder Kevin Jackson is the head coach / programmer of Form Leeds Strength + Conditioning.

He’s also a certified Level 2 Crossfit trainer and has over 10 years experience coaching and personal training.

A former Royal Marine Commando, Kev boasts masses of discipline, hard work and determination. These are all qualities Kev passes onto his clients and members.
